The following story may lead you to believe that I am a bad parent. In my defense, Tyler never gets into things he is not suppposed to. I never worry about what he is doing while I am taking a shower or getting ready in the morning. It's pretty much a free for all because he just watches TV or plays with his toys.
This afternoon was another bad nap day. After sleeping for about 30 minutes, I heard Tyler shouting, "Mom! Mom!" (his usual call for me to let him out of his room). I knew this was not a long enough nap and was desperate for one of my own. I went into his room, shut the door, and layed down next to him. But, he was wide awake and kept playing next to me which kept me awake. Finally I opened the bedroom door and freed the little prisoner. Then, (this may be the part that seems horrible) I fell fast asleep on his bed. Also in my defense, I am still sick and very sleepy. About 40 minutes later I woke up. I couldn't believe it had been so long. I walked around the house and finally found him downstairs sleeping on the couch! I guess this is his new favorite napping location.

Not a horrible mom, just a tired mom. And when you are sick on top of that...theres no telling where you might fall asleep. (I feel asleep working with J.T. a few months ago...not so good. He however is a little more scary as to what he might do while I am sleeping). :)
