Our Trip to Southern California

We had not returned to Southern California since moving away about 1 1/2 years ago. Tyler was reunited with his second cousin, Hallie. We hadn't seen her since she was 3 months old and Tyler was barely walking the last time they saw him. It was so much fun to catch up with the family that we also hadn't seen since we left. We spent a morning at the zoo, one of Tyler's favorite places to visit. Of course he was very upset when it was time to leave.

The last night we visited with Kyle, Tabitha, and Hallie we ate out at Makados (kind of like a Beni Hanas--sorry for the spelling). It was so much fun and great entertainment for the children!
Because the restaurant was located in a Marriot Resort, there was more to do than just eat.
We took a little boat to the lobby of the resort. Tyler was a little unsure about the life jacket at first, but ended up loving the boat ride. Susie, of course, was just along for the ride.
The next day we went to Disneyland with Ryan, Britney (Ryan's friend), Michelle, Marc, and Jackson. We had lots of fun. We really tried to make the day for Tyler and mostly went on little kid rides. The only adult rides we went on were the new Space Mountain (it was amazing!) and the Tower of Terror.
Tyler really enjoyed Disneyland. His favorite ride was Autopia which makes sense because his favorite thing to play with is cars. He actually sat in the drivers seat next to Kevin and I believe he steered a lot because he kept telling Kevin to stop touching the steering wheel. It made for a very bumping ride! Our last night in Southern California we stayed at Kevin's grandparents. Tyler really enjoyed playing with his Great Grandma. We all had so much fun and were so sad to leave!

Disneyland... how fun! Looks like Tyler and the whole family has a great time. I bet it was so nice to see your friends and family that you hadn't seen in quite some time. My favorite ride was also Autopia (although it has changed slightly since my first visit in 1986) and I can still remember how my brother begged me to stop riding it so that we could move onto other rides such as Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Matterhorn.

It's really interesting to see how fast Tyler is growing up and how he interacts with other kids now!

We are headed to DIsneyland very soon. Too bad we could not have met up. Your kids are soooo cute. My mom is headed to New York to spend time with Al. I think we will hear some funny stories from the two of them. Lovies, Missy
