All about Kevin!

I've been tagged by Michelle, and didn't want to disappoint, so here's my ode to Kevin...

What is his name:  Kevin Mark

How long have you been together?  We were married on June 29, 2002 (5 1/2 years).

How long did you date?  Our first date was November 2001, but nothing serious until January of the following year when I transferred up to BYU-Idaho.  We started steady dating a couple of weeks after I moved to Rexburg, got engaged March 31st, and we were married 3 months later.

How old is he?  Uhh...let's just say he is still in his 20's (but not for long!).  He has been having a mid-age crisis since I've known him.  I can't imagine what will happen when he turns 40 or 50!  His birthday is May 20th.

Who eats more?  It depends on what we are eating.  I am great at snacking, but Kevin can really pack it down if it is a meal he really enjoys.

Who said "I love you" first?  Definitely Kevin.  I was in love with him, but didn't really know it yet.

Who is taller?  Kevin--he's 6 feet.

Who can sing better?  We're probably about the same, but I honestly don't think you'd ever want us to perform for you!

Who is smarter?  I think we are smart in our own ways.  

Who does the laundry?  Me.  Except sometimes Kevin will wash his clothes for basketball.  I don't wash laundry very often when it is not within my normal routine.  I always fold the clothes, unless they have stacked up and I'm desperate for help.

Who pays the bills?  Me again.  All the bills would be late if Kevin were in charge...he just doesn't think it is necessary to pay bills on time for some reason.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?  If you are standing at the foot of the bed, Kevin lays on the right side.  We talk about switching...Kevin uses a radio with headphones to sleep sometimes at night, which requires him to sleep on his left shoulder, and his shoulder gets sore.  But, we just can't bring ourselves to do it.

Who mows the lawn?  Kevin.

Who cooks dinner?  Me, unless we let Kevin whip up some spaghetti.  He is much better at seasoning the meat than me.

Who drives?  Kevin drives, I take care of the kids.

Who is more stubborn?  I think it is equal.  

Who kissed who first?  Kevin kissed me first.  I'm pretty sure it happened at the end of the Wedding Singer.  How romantic!!

Who asked who out first?  Kevin asked me.  He was in Idaho, and I was in Provo.  After meeting him one night while I was visiting friends in Idaho, he called me a couple of weeks later to ask me on a date while he was visiting his family down in Utah.  We went to Chili's and a Grizzlies game.  Don't ask Kevin what our first date was, however, because when we last played "The Newlywed Game", he got the answer wrong!

Who proposed?  Kevin.  I knew we were going to get married, and I really wanted the ring before I went on vacation to New York to visit my dad and grandparents.  We were at Kevin's house in Utah the weekend before for Easter, and I thought for sure he would take me on a romantic date to formerly "pop the question" with the ring.  All weekend long I was disappointed.  So, when I found the ring in the dishwasher (along side some roses) during our Easter egg hunt, I was beyond surprised!

Who has more friends?  Kevin has a lot of friends from work and church, but I definitely beat him in that category.  I love meeting new girls and having lots of friends.  I've found it especially easy to make friends since having kids.  Playdates are a great excuse to make new friends!

Who is more sensitive?  Me.  No question about it.

Who has more siblings?  Kevin.  He has 4, I come in dead last with 1.

Who wears the pants?  I think we both do...I don't think either one of us rules the house.
