Our Living Conditions...

Okay, so many people have requested that I blog about our current living conditions. I decided to add a few pictures for effect. We are currently living in Kevin's parents basement. This is a pretty normal thing to do, other than we are sharing the basement with Michelle and her family until September. So, until then, our living conditions are pretty tight.

This is Susie's room. She sleeps in the closet under the stairs.

Here is Susie tucked into her "Harry Potter, Cupboard beneath the stairs room." It's really not bad. Her huge crib and a dresser both fit easily into the closet. We've even equipped the room with a miniature fan to help circulate the air.
Every night we pull Tyler's bed out onto the floor of our bedroom where he sleeps soundly. Every morning we put the mattress against the wall next to our bed to leave floor space for toys and walking room.
I hope Tyler doesn't enjoy sleeping in our room so much that he doesn't want to leave in September. We think that maybe he will look forward to sharing a room with Susie--which will be a new and "exciting" adventure!

Although things look cramped, it has been much easier to live here than expected. We actually are able to keep the basement mostly clean. I think (hope) we help out enough upstairs that our presence doesn't add too much extra to clean up after. And, I only have to cook twice a week! Janae cooks 2 times and Michelle cooks the other 2 times. We are all happy, and Kevin has just started his third week of school.
