A Trip to the Farm

After camping at Warm River, we decided to head on over to my dad's farm in Washington. We did a lot of exciting and interesting things there. The kids got to throw cracked corn to the chickens and zucchini to the cow and goats. They helped Grandma Megan pick and dig for all sorts of vegetables from the garden. Susie furthered her love of rocks. We played multiple games of Chutes and Ladders and Memory. We spent time on the bank of the river throwing rocks to their favorite dog Bandita. Grandma Megan took us across the street to see the neighbor's horses. At first both kids were apprehensive about petting the horses, but by the end, Susie couldn't keep her hands off of them. In fact, by the end of our trip, Susie couldn't resist petting the dogs too (well, except for the two big ones). My dad took Tyler for a ride on his quad. Our last day of visiting we went on a big outing to play "Wee Golf". Tyler, Kevin, and my dad took the Porsche. Tyler had a blast! He loved the wind blowing on him, and he especially loved being able to see all around him--mostly behind him where he could see me driving our car. We stopped at "Cooper's" on the way home for ice cream so my dad and Megan could show off the grandkids.
