This past week we have been preparing for Halloween. Tyler received some "Free Children's Admission" tickets to the local Scarecrow Festival from his school. We met another mom and her girls at the Festival, each of us paid $5 total for entrance (adult admission), and were a little let down when we found out almost every activity inside the gates was an additional cost. Luckily I only paid $5 for all three of us to get in. We made sure to make our visit worth those five dollars and made good use of all the free activities--the kids loved the petting zoo, the bounce houses, and the children's carnival games. The bounce houses were, by far, the biggest hit!Today, Grandma Janae took the kids to pick out pumpkins. In a nearby parking lot, there is a make-shift pumpkin patch with pumpkins of all sizes and shapes to choose from. Tyler, especially, loved picking out his pumpkin this year. He chose a tall, skinny one. He spotted it almost as soon as we walked in, and refused all the others we kept suggesting!

How fun Amy! Too bad everything cost more money once inside the gates, but still fun that you were able to get out and do something. I am sure the kids loved it. I love the picture of Tyler and Susie and my mom trying to move tat pumpkin. What a crack up! :)
