Crashed...

In the 7 1/2 years since Kevin and I have been married, we have not received any tickets or gotten into any accidents. Until now. Last Thursday, Kevin rear-ended somebody on his way home from work. Thankfully, it was a very minor accident. No one was even remotely hurt. He was going so slow that the airbag didn't deploy. Unfortunately, the front end of our Honda Accord crinkled up and actually has quite a bit of damage. Enough damage to surprise the auto body shop people, considering he wasn't going fast enough for the airbag to deploy. Basically all this accident will cause for us is a huge inconvenience (we've finally got our rental car--a minivan! the kids are so excited about the van). And of course, we'll have to pay our $500 deductible as well as any rate increases in our insurance. Bleh! Not to excited about having to spend money we don't have. However, I'm so happy Kevin is safe and that the kids weren't in the car. We really couldn't have had a better scenario for a car accident. Well, I guess the better scenario would be that we weren't at fault. But, I guess it had to happen sometime.
