The Dinosaur Museum

We finally visited the much anticipated Dinosaur Museum. Last summer the museum offered $1 Tuesdays throughout the month of August. Every Tuesday we would drive by the museum, and every Tuesday we would go home unsuccessfully (and with crying kids). We were never denied admission, I was just completely unwilling to stand in the land that stretched around the building and across the parking lot. However, I've also been completely unwilling to pay full price for admission. I'm not about to spend $26 for me and the kids to get in. I've been searching and searching for coupons to get discounted admission to the museum without any success. A couple weeks ago, I found out a friend had a season pass to the museum, which meant if we went with them we could get guest passes for half off. Now I know $13 is not nearly as cheap as the $3 we could have spent last summer. However, $13 is much more affordable than $26. And, we got to visit on a fairly uncrowded day. In my opinion, it was definitely worth the $13 (but only worth it once), but not worth full price.

We had fun. The bones were very intriguing to the kids. Especially since they have really gotten into dinosaurs lately due to their favorite new TV show Dinosaur Train. However, the favorite part of the museum was the water/sand table as well as the huge sandpit where they were able to walk around in and dig up dinosaur bones. The kids haven't stopped talking about the museum since our visit. I'm so glad I can finally cross the Dinosaur Museum off my "places to visit" list and even more relieved Tyler can stop asking if I've found any coupons for the museum.
