Happy Birthday Susie-Lou!

After a very prolonged break from blogging...I'm back! Hopefully I can post what has been going on for the past two months without too much pain on my part. I've gone missing from the blogging world for a multitude of reasons. First and foremost, my computer has and still is on the fritz. Downloading pictures from my camera is next to impossible without an immense amount of patience. And, all my Adobe software refuses to open, so I have left all these photos completely unedited. I've also shrunk down every photo to shorten the time needed to upload the amount of photos I have to blogger. Secondly, I am totally absent of any free time. Since school has started, I have struggled to find enough time at the end of each day (10pm-11pm) just to watch a single TV show. Other than that, I am constantly on the go taking care of kids and carpooling to and from school as well as other activities and appointments. Whew! Being a momma of 3 is time consuming! So without further ado...

Happy 4th Birthday Susie!

Our sweet (& spicy) Susie-Lou turned 4! We had a birthday fit for a princess! We started off the morning by bringing out her biggest birthday surprise. Her first bike--of course it was glammed out with princesses. She was so excited about her new bike! And, she's already a pro. She whips around the back yard patio and down the hill without any inhibition. I dressed her in her most casual "princess" atire. Then added some of her jewelry. She is starting to look so grown up! It makes me so sad. :( To celebrate her birthday, we--Kevin, me, the kids, and Grandpa Mark & Grandma Janae--went to the dollar theater to see How to Train Your Dragon. We brought tons of snacks. And, Susie even wore all her jewelry to the theater. We came home, ate pizza and rootbeer, opened presents, and ate some princess castle cake. I'm pretty embarrassed at how the princess cake turned out. Of all the cakes I've created, this should have been the cutest. Instead it looked the most amateur. Oh well. It tasted better than any cake I've made. It was almond flavored cake with almond frosting and raspberry filling. I was trying to recreate the flavors in a marzipan cake and I thought it turned out pretty yummy!

Happy Birthday Susie! We are so lucky to have you in our family! We love you!
