Happy 2011!

New Year's Eve
December 31, 2010

Last year New Year's Eve was such a let down, I decided to really plan out the night and make it a special celebration for the kids. Then, I decided once their celebration was over, so was mine, and it was okay to go to bed.

We spent the evening with Grandma and Grandpa and Craig. And our little family too, of course.

We ate a yummy steak dinner to start out the night. Then we got all the kids ready for bed. Amyah went straight to bed after that. She wouldn't remember it anyways, right? Then the party began! We bought some Coldstone Ice Cream earlier in the day. Six different flavors. Me and the kids decided our favorite ice cream creation from Coldstone is the Birthday Cake Remix. Yum! I'm still craving it almost 3 weeks later!

After ice cream, we watched Toy Story 3. So cute!

As soon as the movie ended, we headed upstairs to have a countdown (it was about 9 or 9:30 by this point). I created a countdown with about 8 minutes of dance music and firework shows from across the world. The kids had a blast dancing to some fun music!

Then we headed outside in the 1 degree weather to light sparklers. They were so pretty in the snow!

The finale of the night was a round of balloon popping. The dang balloons were very stubborn and refused to pop! We finally pulled out some scissors to stab the balloons with...

Happy 2011!
