Happy Easter!

The Day Before: Dying Easter Eggs

The kids actually used their own skills to dye Easter eggs this year. We bought the cheapest dye kit, pulled out the crayons to add decoration, and let the kids create. They enjoyed drawing pictures and writing their names on the eggs. They even created two-toned eggs this year!

Amyah was awake for the very end of our activity. Of course, all she wanted to do was put the egg into her mouth...

Easter Morning: The Hunt

Every Easter we hide 30-40 plastic Easter eggs filled with treats inside the house. We actually hide them the night before so as soon as we are up in the morning, the kids can begin hunting. We typically don't get any candy in our Easter baskets because of the candy that they find in the eggs. Tyler received a solar system puzzle for Easter, Susie received a pink razor scooter, and Amyah was given a little bunny stuffed animal. The kids hunted for eggs before Amyah even woke up in the morning. Breakfast was boiled eggs, of course. :)

Easter Dinner

The tradition around here is to head up to Uncle Ralph's and Aunt Teresa's house for Easter dinner. It's always accompanied with good food, lots of family, more candy, interesting conversation, and a little bit of chaos!
