Susie's preschool graduation was last Friday. She dressed in her new dress and we styled her hair extra curly. She looked so cute and was very excited! Before the program at school, we were invited to attend a tea party with our carpool moms and daughters. It was so much fun to celebrate the end of our preschool year with our friends at a tea party.
After the party, we headed to the graduation ceremony. The program started with an encore of the Tootie Tah Tah. Then a bunch of super cute songs the children learned during the preschool year. To end the program, we watched Miss Kathy flip through the children's paintings that illustrated the lyrics in Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World". It was very touching to see their sweet preschool paintings.
I feel very sad to be done with preschool. Both Tyler and Susie had such a good experience in the same preschool with the same teacher. They did many of the same things and learned so much from preschool. They both loved preschool and made so many friends. Kindergarten is much more hard core and down to business. I feel very sad that my sweet, fun Susie has come to the end of an era in her childhood. I know she will thrive in Kindergarten, but I feel a sense of loss...like her days filled with nonstop fun have come to an end (or at least will in a few months when school starts in the fall).
We've had a fantastic year in preschool!

Sheesh, we still have a whole month left! I wish we were out. Not because I dislike pre-k, but because I feel like we are going to have such a short summer and no time to just play, before we have ALL STINKIN' DAY LONG kindergarten. Susie looks so cute in her plaid dress. It looks like it was a cute program. Oh, and the tea party idea, looked so cute for a bunch of girls and their moms. Very fun!
Susie looks SOOO cute! It also sounds like Tyler is becoming quite the soccer player! That's fun that your grandparent's got to visit and I'm glad you all had so much fun together.
I can't get over how much Susie looks like you. She's adorable!!!
