A Visit from Grandpa Les & Grandma Dena

We enjoyed a whirlwind visit from my grandparents last Thursday. They came over at about 11:30 am. Tyler was already at school. Susie was headed to school just after lunch, and there was no way she could miss because it was her last full day of preschool and also her "unbirthday" celebration at school.

My grandparents came over just in time to enjoy lunch with me and the girls. While Susie was off at school, Amyah napped, and I was able to spend a pleasant afternoon chatting with my grandma and grandpa. Both the kids came home around 3:30. We all put on our swimsuits and headed to my grandparents hotel, where we spent the afternoon swimming in the hot tub and pool. The kids had a great time. Susie kept telling me she was having the best "unbirthday" ever! After swimming, we walked across the street for dinner at KFC. Yummy! Kevin met us there when he got off from work.

When it was time to say good bye, Susie laid it on thick with her good bye tears. She was so sad they were leaving, she couldn't stop crying. Cute girl. She really knows how to make our visitors feel loved and bad all at the same time. :)

All in all, we had an amazing time visiting with my grandparents. It always feels so good to have my family visit. It gives me a sense of who I am, where I came from, and that I am part of a loving family.
