Susie the Ballerina

We talked Susie out of playing soccer this year. Soccer in Arizona isn't quite as easy-going as soccer in Utah. Tyler practices for an hour, two nights a week. He also has games in 100+ degree heat on Saturday mornings. To top that all off, practices and games are 20 minutes away. In Utah we only practiced once a week (back-to-back, 30 minute practices), and games and practices were held at the park and elementary school just down the street. I had no desire to drag two kids around. We promised Susie we would enroll her in a dance class if she gave up soccer. It actually took a little bit of coaxing, but she quickly caved. We gathered all the "equipment" needed for her dance class. A cute leotard with skirt attached, ballet shoes, and tap shoes. She is adorable in her dance clothes. She has only had one class, but she loved it! I love have my sweet Susie in dance! It really is a treat to watch her practice her dance moves! She will be performing in a recital in December. So excited! It will be a lot of fun to watch her show off what she has learned.
