We had a great Easter in Arizona! Similar to all the previous holidays this year, it was entirely up to us to create our own Easter celebration. It turned out great!
Tyler and Susie dyed Easter eggs while Amyah napped on Saturday afternoon. They did it all on their own! Amazing! For the first time in 5+ years, dying Easter eggs was not such a huge production because I didn't have to get involved! It was wonderful!

Initially, Amyah was more interested in the paper grass than her presents.

Grandma Megan created some fun surprises for the kids to open. We had a lot of fun popping open the confetti eggs!

There were also pinata eggs stuffed full of finger-sized stuffed animals, dollar bills, and candy.

We had our friends, Danie and Kyle and their kids (Brighton, Porter, and Graham) over for Easter dinner. Brighton is Susie's age. They are in the same kindergarten class and Sunday school class. Porter is younger, but he and Tyler have become great buddies this year. It was a lot of fun to have them over for Easter dinner. Kyle cooked the yummiest ham I've ever eaten.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner with our friends. Then we headed outside for an Easter egg hunt. It was over in less than 5 minutes. Our small backyard made the egg hunt way too easy. But, the kids had fun anyway.
Later that evening, we headed over to Kristi and Derek's place to eat dessert. They just had a baby, and Aunt Trudy was in town, so we spent a while visiting with them. It was a fun-filled Easter!
Kevin talked me into creating these deviled eggs for dinner. I almost gave up half-way through removing the yolks. Luckily Kevin came to the rescue, and the final product turned out super cute!

We forgot to take a picture of all our guests! But, we did get a picture of the tables before dinner started.

The Easter egg hunt...

All the kids :)

Brighton and Susie

Susie and Amyah in their Easter dresses... I found all sorts of fancy, beautiful Easter dresses. I really wanted to find something cute, yet very affordable. I ran into these dresses at H&M and, although they weren't quite as fancy as most of the dresses we were looking at, I thought they were super cute. And they had sleeves! And they were really on sale--only $6!

sorry we missed skypeing yesterday :-( Hopefully we can do it again soon.
Love G.M.
Oh and I forgot - love those eggs - I'm going to do that for knitting group and I told our librarian about those t-shirts, we might try that for our summer reading program. You come up with some great ideas Amy and if you don't come up with the idea you do the project to perfection!
Cute eggs, cute Easter outfits, cute kids, cute everything!!
