Kindergarten Graduation

Kindergarten was a fun day to celebrate Susie's transition into 1st grade, but also a sad day of good-byes.

Susie has enjoyed such a fun year in Kindergarten. We have loved her teacher! She was the perfect Kindergarten teacher (according to me) -- warm, loving, friendly, very aware of each child's needs, and capable of challenging each student in the ways they needed to be pushed academically.

It was sad to say good-bye to her. I'm hoping she stays around for a while so Amyah can have the same experience when she starts Kindergarten (YES--we will be here when Amyah starts Kindergarten!).

It was also the day our good friends were moving. Susie's friend Brighton and my friend Danie left for Texas later that same day. We were only friends with them for a short while. But, we became really close and it was sad to see them leave because it felt like a good friendship that never developed to it's fullest. We wish them the best on their new adventure!

My dad and sister were in town (we had a family reunion that started the weekend after school ended). They were able to watch Susie perform in her graduation ceremony, which made for a very happy 5 year old!
