Our brother-in-law, Marc, graduated from dental school and we headed over to Los Angeles to watch him graduate! It was such a momentous occasion and so much fun to be a part of his huge accomplishment!
We arrived in Hemet (to stay with Kevin's grandparents) on Friday night. The next morning we drove to L.A. and spent the afternoon at the beach with Kevin's family and Marc's family. The beach was soooo dreamy! I want to go back. The kids had so much fun and Amyah loved every second of it. She played in the sand and splashed in the waves for three full hours. She would have been happy to stay longer. I would have been happy too.
Later that evening, we ate dinner at Island's. Wow that place has good food! I want to go back there too.
We attended Marc's graduation on Sunday morning and ate a late lunch at Marc & Michelle's later that day. It was hard to pull ourselves away and leave for home. We knew it would be our last visit to Los Angeles (and we've had quite a few fun trips to visit them there!). We also knew that it could quite possibly be the last time we see them for the next couple years. They are going to Florida for Marc to attend an Endodontics program in Gainesville. We are both going to be students with very little funds. We will also not be within driving distance. There's a good chance we will not see them until they are done.
We are so happy we decided to make the trip to L.A.! Congratulations Marc!
