We headed to Utah to visit Kevin's parents to escape the HEAT in Arizona. The weather in Utah was awesome! And it was especially relaxing. A great way to end our last summer before Kevin started medical school.
We visited City Creek Mall one evening. It was beautiful. It is always so difficult to get everyone (kids and adults) to smile naturally at the camera, so I opted to capture a kodak moment. I love this shot that I got! We loved the views of Temple Square!
Amyah was extremely interested in the trains below us.
A trip to Utah wouldn't be complete without lots and lots of swimming!
Uncle Craig came into town about half way through our trip. You can never escape an afternoon in the pool without huge waves and lots of splashing!
And, of course, surfing on the boogie boards!
Some other things we did while in Utah:
- Visited old friends (Kevin spent an evening in Park City with a high school friend. We all spent an afternoon with the Dalbys--friends we've known from our Rexburg days.)
- Cafe Rio
- Went to the movies: The Amazing Spider-Man (We took all the kids, but it was a little too creepy. I covered eyes a lot during the movie.)
- Ward breakfast on Pioneer Day (The kids spent a couple hours sliding down a gigantic slip and slide while we visited with all our old neighbors.)
- Ate a ton of cookies! Janae would not stop baking them! And I couldn't stop eating them!
