Preschool

 April 8,  2013

Amyah was tested and found eligible for the developmental preschool at our local elementary school.  She qualifies based on speech articulation.  She is a very chatty child!  But, she mixes up a lot of her sounds and simply can't articulate others.  It can be difficult to communicate with her.  I thought she was testing to start the next fall.  Instead, they told me she could start right away!  My entire life has been spun around.  I've rearranged my dad to schedule appointments, exercising, grocery shopping, house cleaning, etc. during the afternoon when she is at preschool.  It has been great for me!

Amyah hesitates every day I drop her off at school.  I literally have to shove her into the preschool gates.  Her teachers keep telling me that she is great at school and acts like she is having a great time.  But, it's hard not to worry about her.  She is my baby!  And she still is a baby!  I don't want to push her out of my life if she is not ready for it.

The greatest blessing of this preschool is that tuition is free.  Her speech articulation special needs have qualified for her for 2+ years of free preschool!  Yay!
