Happy Birthday Grandpa Mark!

Yesterday we celebrated Grandpa Mark's birthday. We spent the day swimming (check out Michelle's blog for a great story about Jackson clearing the swimming pool), and finished the night with sandwiches from Italian Place Sandwiches, homemade ice cream, and cupcakes. Tyler is really into birthday parties. We are constantly talking about birthday parties--especially what kind of cake he wants at his party. So, he insisted that Grandpa have a cake. In fact, he requested a balloon cake for Grandpa. I had some inspiration from the cake book I received a couple of Christmases ago, and created a bouquet of balloons out of cupcakes.
