Lake Chelan

Thirty minutes from my dad's farm is a place called Lake Chelan. Our best friends from college--Kevin and Crystal--often vacation at Chelan because her parents own a couple of houses right on the lake. The timing of our trip worked out perfectly because they were in town so we could visit them! We hadn't seen our friends since Tyler was 17 months old (over 2 1/2 years ago). It was sooo much fun to see them. Tyler was reunited with his first friend ever. Their little girl Brianna is 5 days older than Tyler. They also have a little girl (Ashley) who is about 6 or 7 weeks older than Susie. They took us on a boat ride in the morning, and in the afternoon we used the jet skis for a while. Tyler and Brianna had a lot of fun together--mostly jumping and splashing in the hot tub. And, we went out to dinner that night. It was so refreshing because Tyler and Brianna basically carried their own conversation at the end of the table so we actually could converse without being interrupted with "Mommy...." We're hoping to make this Farm/Chelan trip an annual thing!
