Happy 5th Birthday Tyler!

Another year has come and gone and Tyler is now 5! I cannot believe I will soon be the mother of a kindergartner! We had so much fun celebrating Tyler's 5th birthday. We had a friend party on Friday morning (the 17th). Tyler had 7 friends over, plus him and Susie. The theme of the party was dinosaurs. We went on a dinosaur hunt through the yard--definitely the highlight of the party. At the end of the hunt, the kids found the dinosaur (a pinata). After an hour of games, we opened presents and ate dinosaur cupcakes. It was a hot day!

On Saturday morning (Tyler's real birthday), we woke up and opened gifts first thing. Tyler got a fishing pole, some gigantic dinosaurs, and bakugans. That night we had family over for dinner and cake. Tyler requested hamburgers for dinner. He also chose to eat outside. We created a volcano cake (since dinosaurs lived by volcanoes...) that turned out pretty well, despite dry ice that did not want to cooperate. The picture at the end was actually taken after half the cake was gone and we finally figured out how to make the dry ice work--notice Kevin's arm in the background. He was holding a water bottle with dry ice behind the cake to show how I envisioned the cake actually looking.

Happy 5th Birthday Tyler!

Haha... I liked the gift bag that was front and center in Tyler's gift picture. Did Kevin pick that out? Wouldn't surprise me..... :)

We decided to move after all... we found a place a couple of blocks over where we will be able to save money. It's not in the ward which I am really sad about. But I still want to come to the book club. I'm so mad I missed this past one. I totally spaced it! I even planned on coming. Let me know what you are reading this time. We still should hang out because I will be so close!
