Alyssa's Bridal Shower

My one and only sister, Alyssa, came out to visit on July 29th. We started the trip by throwing a bridal shower (grandparents from both sides--Grandpa Al, Grace, Grandpa Les, & Grandma Dena, our Aunt Bev, and lots of Alyssa's friends made up the guest list). Her friends brought their hubbies and kids who enjoyed swimming during the majority of the shower. The decorations were especially pretty and very festive. And, I'd have to say my bird cupcakes (as requested by the person being honored--Alyssa) were a hit. They didn't turn out the way I was hoping, but definitely were still pretty dang cute. It was a fun night. It was especially fun to see all her friends because I actually knew them. And, of course, it was great to have so much family around.
