We had a very anticlimactic birthday celebration for Kevin this year. Amyah came home from the hospital the day before, so it was our first full day at home with a new baby. Kevin took a break from studying, but felt obligated to help out with chores around the house. It felt like he was cleaning or folding something all morning long.
The day before his birthday, however, he did come home from Cabela's with two new guns. In all fairness, he sold his other gun a couple months ago. He used that money as well as money he received for his birthday, the coins we rolled a while back, and money that has been sitting in old accounts since before his mission (only like $70 in total) to pay for his much-deserved birthday present. With all the craziness going on lately, I didn't even give him a small present. In fact, he didn't have any presents to open on his birthday. Sad. With the baby at home, all I really had time for was preparing the potatoes, salad, and ice cream Kevin requested for his birthday dinner. We ate that along with some delicious steak. I didn't even get around to putting up streamers or a "Happy Birthday" banner.
Kevin's parent (Mark & Janae), Ryan & Brittney, Rachael & Jonathon, Craig, and our family of 5 (can you believe it?) all gathered to celebrate. It was fun to see everyone and show off our baby.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KEVIN! I'm sure it was all he expected for his 32nd birthday. I mean sheesh, you did just deliver his child! :) Amyah is totally smiling in that first picture!
It's so fun to see you're family!! How do you pronounce your Amyah's name?
Happy Happy Birthday Kevin! I think brining home a beautiful baby girl is the best birthday present ever! That is just soooo awesome!
