We love soccer! I have volunteered as a soccer Age Group Coordinator--my 2nd time doing the job--for both their age groups, which let's both kids register for free. A great deal for us! And, somewhat fun for me to be involved in the soccer scene (I do love the ability to set up their teams exactly the way I like them, and I also get to choose their uniform colors before anyone else). Kevin is the assistant coach for both kids' teams. And, Tyler's coach is now coaching Susie's team as well. This year both the kids are playing, which makes for a very stressful Saturday morning. However, it is so much fun to watch the two of them play. Tyler's team has many of the same players from last year, plus a few new ones. Susie is playing with many of the younger siblings of Tyler's teammates. Doesn't she look adorable in her yellow uniform?
Tyler's age group this year is getting very serious and strategical. I'd have to say his team is just above average in his age group. They have been demolished by 1 or 2 teams so far this year. They have also demolished quite a few teams themselves. The kids play hard and actually make adjustments according to the ability of the teams they are playing.
Susie's team, on the other had, is so funny to watch. We didn't realize how hilarious these little kids were when Tyler was playing with the 4 year olds two years ago. She just scored her first goal this morning (Oct. 2) and was so proud of herself. We're hoping this motivates her to keep playing. She's been a bit more hesitant to play than Tyler has ever been.
Go Wolves! (Tyler's team)
Go Lions! (Susie's team)
