We went on a family outing to the Museum of Church History in Salt Lake City last Saturday. It was a lot of fun! Fun to get out of the house! Fun to hang out with our good friends (from the good old college days)! Fun to not sit around the house watching basketball all day on Saturday.
The museum is great! The displays go through the history of the church (which is obvious from the name). There is also a huge display upstairs that takes you through all the prophets of the church. So interesting...
Of course, we couldn't spend too much time reading each display. So, we moved on to the children's area upstairs. The kids spent about an hour playing with all the toys upstairs.
The last, and most impressive (and memorable) part of the museum was the Angel Moroni statue. It is just like the statues on top of the temples.
I finally feel a bit liberated with Amyah's nap schedule. She only needs a short morning nap, which means she can take that nap anywhere. I have all sorts of plans of ways to fill our mornings once the summer begins. :)
Walking on the wobbly "ship" floor.
Mexican dance demonstrations...
Steve & Jana (plus 5 and 1 on the way!)
Most of the kid crew...there were 8 kids total...
Our cute family :)
