Tyler's First Missing Tooth

Finally... Tyler lost his first tooth! Smiles labeled with students' names decorate the wall of Tyler's classroom. When a child loses a tooth, they get to put a star sticker on the smile to show which tooth was lost. I'm pretty sure every other 1st grader has lost a tooth. Tyler's smile has been blank all year long. I kept wondering if he'd ever get to place a star on his smile. With only three weeks left in the school year, his tooth finally came out. Actually, I pulled it out. Me! It was hanging by a thread, and he was headed off to an all day field trip. I didn't want the tooth to come out during the field trip, so I pushed the tooth forward, then backward. And it popped right out! The tooth fairy came that night and left $1 under Tyler's pillow. I think I'm going to miss his cute, baby teeth smile.
