Both birthday's this year seemed anti-climatic. Tyler's birthday came a week before our move; Susie's came a week after. We were either packing or unpacking on both birthdays. I'm so glad we had a party earlier that month. But, when it came down to the actual celebration on their "real" birthdays I'd have to admit those days weren't as exciting as they have been in the past. No big celebrations with lots of family, no homemade/decorated cakes... However, we really made the best of the situation and still had a great time celebrating their special days.
We of course started the day off by opening presents while still dressed in PJs. Why wait? Birthdays are about having fun. I love to give our kids their presents in the morning so they can enjoy their gifts all day long!
A baseball mitt from Mom & Dad.
A Nerf football from Grandma Janae & Grandpa Mark.

So I was showing Ryan all of your blog updates and we both started laughing at the picture that has Tyler's birthday presents in it because there is a big bag with a kid picking his nose! HA! Just noticed that. We were trying to figure out what the words said on the bag but we couldn't see them.
