Alyssa flew into town on December 19th--the Wednesday before Christmas. After spending a few days around the house making Christmas preparations (sewing costumes for the nativity and preparing food), we decided to take a quick peek at the Deer Valley Rock Art Center. The kids were given scavenger hunt papers at the info desk. The scavenger hunt, in my opinion, made the visit so much more interesting. If I were going without kids I'd ask for a scavenger hunt paper anyways.
The Rock Art Center has the largest concentration of Native American petroglyphs in the Phoenix Valley. It was a a quick, hour-long visit. However, it was pretty fun to search the rocks for the images on the kids' scavenger hunt.
