Moving

This move was hands down more difficult than any other move we have made.  Some of the reasons include:

1.  We have a bigger family and own more stuff.

2.  We are moving across a couple of states.

3.  We are downsizing our living situation by a lot.

4.  Not only are we downsizing, but at least half of our stuff will be in storage for at least 2 years, so we had to be very organized.  (Meaning, we didn't want to move boxes full of junk, and we had to separate storage boxes from non-storage boxes.)

5.  We had to fit everything into one truck.

6.  From experience, we know how easily things can be damaged, so we spent a lot of time shrink wrapping and bubble wrapping our furniture and decorations.

7.  Susie had another double ear infection the morning before we were leaving.  We were up half the night with her, slept in too late, and had to go to a doctors appointment in the morning.  Plus, she was very clingy because of her sickness.

8.  Partly because of the set-back from Susie's ear infections, we had way too much to do our last evening, and did not go to sleep until 4:30 in the morning.  (Two nights in a row without sufficient sleep.)  We planned on leaving at 5 in the morning, but didn't get out the door until about 10.  Then, sleep deprived and all, our trip took about 13 hours.

Although it was a very difficult move (physically and emotionally--I'm really going to miss California), we are happy to report we have arrived in Utah and are doing well.  The weather has even warmed up enough to allow us to play outside.  And, we are enjoying our new living circumstances.
