Kevin is Amyah's favorite parent.
She wants him to put her to bed, get her out of her car seat, and carry her (if she must be carried).
She screams uncontrollably anytime he has to hand her over to me (like today when I took her home after church and he headed off to a meeting), whenever he leaves the house, and basically everytime we transfer her from Kevin's arms to my arms.
She's lucky I still love her like crazy. And, lucky for me, she likes me just fine when Kevin is at work all day long.
She just really likes Kevin more than me when he is at home. It's a good thing I have 2 other kids and know more than likely this will eventually pass. And, it's also good that Susie was exactly the opposite when she was a baby. It's actually a relief to have Amyah prefer Kevin over me.

Jack changes his mind at any given moment about whom he prefers. Charlie is just now starting to prefer me- you know that 6 month stage? It's not always convenient. I understand your relief!
Oh silly Amyah! That girl's got her preferences, huh? I felt pretty special when she sat with me on the swing outside at the Martin's for a while this summer (that is, until she finally looked up and realized that I was not her mama!).
I love this picture of Kevin and Amyah. The look on both of their faces is great. It really is a good thing that kids go in and out of phases with which parents they prefer, because I love the break when Marc is around and they cling to him, but it is also nice to know they love you too. :)
