WARNING: cousin picture overload! :)
We made the 4 1/2 hour drive to Southern California to spend New Year's weekend with Kevin's family. Three of his siblings are going to dental school in Southern California. Two of them are married with kids. The grandchild count in Kevin's family is currently 8. Kevin's parents flew down from Utah, we drove from Arizona, and everyone else was already in the area. We gathered in Hemet, California (at Kevin's grandparents' house) for the weekend. Only one family couldn't make it (Ryan, Brittney, and baby Lucy) and understandably so. They are on the other side of the country! In total, there were 9 adults and 7 kids present! Plus Kevin's grandparents. It was a full house!
It was a lot of fun to see everyone. We hadn't seen Rachael's baby since they moved to California when she was only 3 weeks old! And, we finally got to meet Michelle's new baby! The kids had a lot of fun playing with their cousins. Kevin and I enjoyed catching up with all his siblings.
Kevin's grandparents have a pantry stocked full of candy. We pretty much let our kids eat candy and soda all weekend long. They also spent a lot of time outside riding bikes and playing in the fountains out back. Every night we let the kids stay up pretty late in hopes they would sleep in longer the next morning. California is an hour behind Arizona, so we were all up at 6am the first morning.

Cousin Pile! Thanks to Jackson :). BTW, look at Susie's legs! She was the victim of multiple accidents over the weekend! She fell off her bike into a rose bush at one point.

We had a fun New Year's Eve. We ate sandwiches, chips, veggies, and dips for dinner at Kevin's grandparents' house. Later that evening (after putting the babies to bed and leaving them in care of Kevin's grandparents), we headed over to his Aunt Regina's house for BINGO. The kids won a flashlight and a paddle ball. They also got to pull money from Uncle Tal's money jar (in memory of Great Uncle Myrl). They had a lot of fun.
We headed back to Kevin's grandparents' house after 10pm. It was getting late! And we still needed to do a countdown and some sparklers with the kids! It was actually 10 minutes to 11pm by the time I got the kids to bed. They almost stayed up until midnight, Arizona time. Maybe next year I'll let them stay up with me. :)

It was so much fun seeing you guys! I wish we could get this kids together more often! They have so much fun together and it gives me relief to have another adult to talk with while just hanging out with my kids. :) It was fun catching up and seeing all of you.
PS. You got some really cute pictures of all the kids! I need to steal some of these from you.
