Coasters ~n~ Castles

February 23, 2013

I forgot to mention in the last post about our hike at Thunderbird that Kevin was on break during the last week of February (hence our jam-packed week of fun).

On Saturday morning, we were planning on mini-golfing.  I hopped on the computer first thing in the morning to find different mini-golf places around.  While searching for mini-golf, I found a Groupon for a nearby amusement park called Castles ~n~ Coasters.  We decided to "splurge" and take the family there for the day.  It was a great deal.  And we had so much fun!

The toddler rides

The Viking Ship-- I have never been so scared on this ride in my life!  I used to think this was a pretty wimpy ride.  It was definitely manageable.  But, I wasn't hopping back in line when we were finished.  I guess 30 is getting to me.  Susie kept her eyes closed and head tucked the entire time.

Amyah loved the carousel.

This is, by far, the most hilarious picture of the day.  This was just a mini-Sky Diver sort of ride.  And look how scared they look!  Even Tyler!

Now onto the BIG Sky Diver.  As soon as Tyler hopped off the mini-ride, he and Kevin headed over to the real one.  I can't believe he agreed to go on it after seeing his face on the kiddie version of the ride!  I also can't imagine what his face looked like while dropping on this one!

I took Tyler on the bigger roller coaster.  It had loops and went pretty fast.  I have to admit, I was a bit nervous about it.  But Tyler was a stud!  I can't believe he's so brave to go on every ride!

Another favorite at the park was the log ride.  It dropped pretty far (not like Splash Mountain, but still a pretty big drop).  Amyah went on it a couple times.  Of course we all got drenched on the ride.

Kevin and Amyah on the smaller roller coaster.

More toddler rides. :)

The kids had an amazing time.  Susie even told me it was just as fun as Disneyland.  Of course I don't agree.  It didn't come close.  But, for the price, it was a lot of fun.
